Vocational Rehabilitation
DRS Vocational Rehabilitation Program helps people with disabilities get ready for, find, and keep a job. We have 36 offices across Virginia and a residential training and medical rehabilitation center center called the Woodrow Wilson Rehabilitation Center.
Supported Employment
Supported Employment services represent a valuable array of contemporary rehabilitation options. The goal of Supported Employment is to maximize employment opportunities for persons with the most severe disabilities who require support in order to work in integrated, competitive employment.
Long Term Support Funding
Extended Employment and Long Term Support Services Programs assist individuals with the most significant disabilities to maintain employment.
Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF)
The DRS TANF Program provides vocational rehabilitation services and supports to TANF recipients who have an identified disability.
Deaf and Hard of Hearing
The Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Program provides comprehensive community-based vocational rehabilitation services through specialized VR counselors.
Substance Abuse
The Substance Abuse Program provides employment and community stability through focus on vocational development, work habits, job readiness, and employment follow-along services along with collaborative Community Services Board (CSB) clinical and social supports.
Serious Mental Illness
The Serious Mental Illness (LTMI) Program provides comprehensive community-based vocational rehabilitation services through specialized VR counselors.
