Employment Specialist Position

Didlake, a leader in supported employment services, is seeking a Program Manager for the Prince William County/Culpeper areas.

Program Manager I’s are responsible for program management and supervision for individual supported employment services at AbilityOne and commercial employment sites; providing leadership for job development, marketing, and coordination of job leads in supported employment; facilitating compliance of regulations/standards for DMHMRSAS, DRS, CARF, AbilityOne, DOL, DMAS, among others; and promoting excellence in state of the art service delivery in rehabilitation. This position is expected to work extremely autonomously, and represent the mission, values, and goals of the Didlake organization with a high degree of professional integrity. This position may serve as Director of Employment Services as needed.

This position also serves as an Employment Specialist III position for approximately 25% of the time; generating referrals from state Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors and local Community Services Board Case Managers situated throughout Virginia; developing job opportunities at commercial and governmental sites located across Maryland, Virginia, and Washington D.C.; providing “time limited” employment services for the purpose of securing stable employment for people with severe disabilities; and providing long-term ongoing supports to consumers.

Experience in supported employment as well as staff support/supervision is needed. One year supervisory experience required. QMRP designation required.

Residential Direct Support Professional- Hampton

Position Description: Full time position, with benefits. Provide residential services to individuals with intellectual disabilities. Current DMV report must accompany application to be considered. Work hours 12:30 PM to 10:30 PM, with rotating weekends. Wage $11.60 to $13.77 per hour, depending on qualifications and assigned work hours.
Education Requirements: High School Diploma or G.E.D. Bachelors degree in Human Services preferred but not required.
Experience Required: Experience in providing support and training to individuals with disabilities preferred, including the completion of professional documentation.
Physical Requirements: Ability to communicate orally and in writing. The ability to drive a multi-passenger van. Able to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, stoop, and reach.

Experience Required: Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred. Experience driving a multi-passenger vehicle.

Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field preferred but not required.
Experience Required: Experience working with individuals with disabilities and experience working in a high paced production environment preferred.
Physical Requirements: Good physical stamina required to stand the majority of the work shift, lift up to 50 pounds, and push carts that exceed 600 pounds. Able to communicate orally and in writing. Free of communicable diseases. Able to withstand a work environment that is prone to temperature extremes, dust, and lint.

Meets production standards and quality standards by efficiently setting up the production flow, conducting ongoing quality and inventory control activities.

Hatcher Center

Director Position Available

Located in Blairs, VA, the Hatcher Center is seeking a candidate with Management experience. This non-profit organization provides job training through manufacturing jobs for people with developmental disabilities. The individual will use experience to implement new products, perform times studies, cost analysis, project timelines, and coordinate current products in accordance with manufacturing requirements. Knowledge of safety regulations, budget analysis, CARF and HIPAA regulations is a plus. The individual would be responsible for day-to-day operations. This individual will market and promote the products and services available. Requirements: This position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in managing resources, budgets, and coordinating team activities and a bachelor’s degree. This individual must be detail-oriented, computer efficient in a Windows environment and possess organizational and interpersonal skills. Valid driver’s license needed. Excellent benefits offered. Position open until filled.
